Samira Grady Online Recipes: How to get rid of Ants! Homemade Ant trap & repellent recipe (for less than $1.)

Welcome to my Blog, today we will be discussing How to Get rid of Ants! With a homemade recipe for less than $1.

As the summer continues to heat up outside, that could only mean one thing!? BUGS TRYING TO GET IN?! LOL 😰

Ants invaded my shoe boxes

Funny story, my boyfriend and I recently rented a home. This is our first time living together even though I was at his house every single night πŸŒ™ πŸ˜‚.

The house is great; it’s big, it has a nice backyard, etc etc, so naturally  we were excited to move in. Only to find that there is a “slight Ant problem,” and when I say slight, I don’t mean slight at all lmao πŸ˜‚.

Now that we are all moved in and have a close-up to what’s really going on, we needed to research Ant Solutions!

Below are the solutions that I researched and found! But before I do, here are the  preventive measures:

🚨 PRO- TIPS FOR ANT PREVENTION

#1 DO NOT leave any food out on counters or tables.

#2 Sweep Nightly to remove any crumbs off the floor

#3 Throw out trash nightly, if possible.

#4 Line baseboards and any ceiling/ wall cracks with vasoline, so they aren’t able to some in.

#4 Mop baseboards with 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water, the vinegar throws off the trail scent for the Ants.

#5 Leave fresh mint out, wherever you think the Ants are coming from. They hate the scent of mint, and they won’t go near it.

#6 Mix 2 parts water, one 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, cinnamon, and a few drops of tea tree oil. Mop floors and baseboards with this mixture. Ants hate all these ingredients!

Once you have taken all the precautions above, now you are ready to make your homemade Ant trap for less $1, because more than likely you already have these ingredients  in your home, so it may even be free!

It’s that simple!
